Advice on Travelling to Matches

Posted by Martyn Webb on 16 October 2020

Historically club captains of adult teams have organised and co-ordinated their players travel arrangements to away matches. As result of the move to High and to adhere to the Government Guidance on travel

The Club  feel that this is no longer a viable position.

So, with immediate effect players and parents (of under 18s) should arrange their own travel arrangements to away matches. This, unfortunately  includes the travel arrangements for this Saturdays away matches. If you are therefore unable to travel to your away match this Saturday, please notify your captain ASAP.  Going forward we are asking the captains to support this difficult decision by stepping away from this historic role. Therefore, in future please consider it as the new normal when selecting your availability on Teamo.

Of course, we appreciate that players and parents will now make their own arrangements and lift share, it is not illegal but to keep everyone safe, we would ask that you also follow the guidance for sharing lifts which is in the link above.

Our intentions are that as a club, we can keep everyone safe and enjoy our sport for as long as we are legally allowed too.

Thank you for your support on this important matter

Kind Regards
