Founded in 1954, we now field 8 men's teams and 5 ladies' teams during the winter season. We also play mixed hockey during the summer on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, when the clubhouse is also open. We run social events, such as quiz nights, throughout the year.
We now have access to 2 pitches at our home ground which is a great facility.
Our junior section runs U8 mixed, U10 boys / girls, U12 boys / girls and U14 boys / girls. U16 boys / girls U18 boys / girls.

Saffron Walden Hockey Club is based at the Joyce Frankland Academy in Newport where we have a astroturf pitch with floodlights and ample parking. The pitch is being re surfaced during Aug 2019 to provide the latest sand dressed pitch.
